BECOME A MEMBER

Our membership levels are structured to deliver the type of support our members need to achieve long-term, sustainable success. We have created opportunities that remain inclusive while focusing our support on the successful career growth of those identifying as women in the industry. Please choose the level that best fits your current role in the New Mexico film industry to start your membership application.

All members accept our Code of Conduct when activating or renewing membership.

If you are an active member of a WIFTUS or WIFTI you are welcome to join events that indicate a join options for these organizations. Our registration code can be provided by your organization administrative support.

Those identifying as male (he/him) are welcome to join our organization under the member level "Friend of NMWIF". Please read our statement regarding how we both target our support and create inclusion.

Professional - $160.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments This Level Is Open To Professional Women Only - Those identifying as women (she/her)

Required For Membership:
A minimum of 3 professional credits in the last 5 years.
Reference letters from an NMWIF professional member and an industry associate (men or women that you have worked with previously).

Benefits:
Access to all regularly scheduled NMWIF meetings and events
1x per quarter pro-members only meetings
Automatic WIFTUS & WIFTI chapter membership
Access to grant opportunities
Access to event special pricing discounts
Access to member benefits/discounts we secure from partners
Access to our full member directory and forum

Friend of NMWIF - $120.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments This level is for those identifying as male (he/him) in the industry, retired professional women (she/her) or women (she/her) who have not worked in the last 10 years who are prepared to re-enter the workforce.

Benefits:
Access to regularly scheduled NMWIF meetings and events (except for quarterly pro meetings).
Access to event special pricing discounts
Access to member benefits/discounts we secure from partners
Access to our full member directory and forum
Access to WIFTUS/WIFTI exclusives

Associate - $80.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments This Level is for those that would like to join through an association with their LLC, corporation, or other organizations that want to support NMWIF.

Benefits:
Access to regularly scheduled NMWIF meetings and events (except for quarterly pro meetings).
Access to event special pricing discounts
Access to member benefits/discounts we secure from partners
Access to our full member directory and forum

Additional Notes:
This level has an In-kind Service Option (To Match Or Exceed Dues Level).

Apprentice - $60.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments This level is for those identifying as women (she/her) who are very close to becoming pro level—on their way with first credits. Renewal at this level is available for 3 years.

Access to regularly scheduled NMWIF meetings and events (except for quarterly pro meetings)
1 x per quarter 30 min career or project advice phone call with a professional member
Access to grant and scholarship opportunities
Access to event special pricing discounts
Access to member benefits/discounts we secure from partners
Access to our full member directory and forum

Additional Notes:
Our mission is to help our Apprentice level members receive access, information, and mentorship needed to grow their careers. At the end of the 3 year apprentice period a member can change to Professional level, with the required credits and references. They may also change to a Friend of NMWIF or Associate account if they are now operating under an industry related LLC.

Student - $20.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments This level is for students identifying as women (she/her) enrolled in a legitimate film or media program.

Required for membership
Letter or form filled out and signed from the head of the film and media department. Renewal at this level is available for 2 years.

Access to job postings
Access to grant and scholarship opportunities
Access to event special pricing discounts
Access to member benefits/discounts we secure from partners
Access to our full member directory and forum

Additional Notes:
Our mission is to help our Student level members receive access, information, and mentorship needed to grow their careers. At the end of their 2 year period, student members should be prepared to renew at the Apprentice level.

Volunteer - Free Subscription period: Unlimited This level is available to past members who want to continue with NMWIF but currently do not work in the industry and do not plan to continue actively working. We appreciate your service and offer this level for you to continue at no cost.

We have 30 open slots at this level and you will be contacted upon receiving your application if we have availability.

Benefits:
Can attend the meetings volunteered to support

Additional Notes:
Volunteers are expected to support at least 3 events/activities in the calendar year. If a volunteer is not actively volunteering for events their membership will be lapsed and made available to the next volunteer on our waiting list.

Volunteer memberships are 1 year in length and will be set to expire on December 31st of each year. Volunteers are welcome to reapply for the next year and can be selected if space is available after anyone on our waiting list is activated.
