Anne Stirling, award winning documentary filmmaker, has produced shorts, feature length films, and factual entertainment television programming both in Canada and the USA. Her first feature documentary Why Get Married? had international distribution including New Zealand. Stirling founded Friends of Film and Video Arts in NM 2004, based on believing cooperation and mutual learning opportunities works for everyone. More than 150 productions can be attributed to FoFVA members working together under that model. With the growing number of vibrant organizations now serving NM Indie Filmmakers, Stirling looks forward to utilizing her role at FoFVA and on NM WIF Board to establish sound ways for motivated filmmakers and organizations statewide to partner and cross-pollinate that best serve our indie film community.
